My pamper evening essentials + DIY bubble bath!

Hello! Sometimes all you need is just … a pamper evening. We all know how nice it is to have a hot bath after a hard day. Everyone should have some ‘me’ time to relieve stress. I have a pamper evening every Sunday, because Sundays are great, aren’t they? So I’m going to tell you my pamper evening essentials and how I make my bubble bath!

Bubble bath. I love bubble bath so much! If you’re not really a fan of it, just pop a bath bomb into your bath. I like to do both of these things. Lush has a lot of great bath products, but I wondered why not to make my own bubble bath, right? Here is my recipe:

1/2 cup liquid hand soap
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 egg white
5 drops of your favorite essential oil

Put all of these ingredients in a container and shake them until they’re well mixed. Pour it under the running water.

P.S. You can improvise! Instead of liquid hand soap you can put shampoo, instead of olive oil put honey. Don’t forget to put an egg white, because of this “secret” ingredient bubbles last longer!

Face mask. I have acne and I tried a lot of various products from shops to make it disappear, but it didn’t. Right now I know how to make acne maybe just a little bit less horrifying. Natural face masks! I like to make these two masks:

Honey and cinnamon mask.
I just mix a tablespoon of honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon and apply it to my face. After about an hour I wash it off.

Honey, cinnamon and nutmeg mask.
Don’t use this mask if your skin is dry or sensitive! My skin is oily, so this mask works really good. Ingredients:

1/2 teaspoon organic cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon raw honey
Few drops of lemon juice

Mix these ingredients together and apply it to your face. I leave it for about 30 minutes, but you can let it sit shorter.

I made a post about masks for every skin type. You can read it here.

Candles. Who doesn’t like them? I have a whole collection of them in my house and I still need to buy more soon!

Delicious snacks. I always get hungry after a long bath. On my pamper evenings (actually, almost on every evening) I like to cook myself an apple or eat organic chocolate.

Movie / Book. I love watching movies and reading books, but I’m really picky. I suggest for you to have a list of to-read books and to-watch movies like I did. It helps me all the time!

Comfy clothes. Can you imagine a pamper evening when you’re wearing skinny jeans and uncomfortable sweater? Hell no! I love pajamas, so I always chill in them on my pamper evenings.

If you’re feeling tired right now, but go and pamper yourself! Everything else can wait! Have a good day,

Odeta 🙂

Super helpful kitchen tricks!

Hello! Long time no see! Do you ever go to the kitchen with a will to make something delicious and see that you don’t have one ingredient? These moments really get on every girl’s nerves, so I searched for some kitchen tricks and found LIFE SAVING pictures. I’m going to share them with you.

When I first saw these photos I was happy and then I felt confused. I only knew that you can use bananas instead of eggs and plain yogurt instead of sour cream. Now I feel like a kitchen guru! Yes, don’t laugh at me. 😀 Let’s start with egg substitutions:

Fruits, vegetables and herbs. We all know how healthy they all are. But do we know when are they in season?

This picture actually changed my life. Just look at these substitutions and you’ll soon find out.

Now you know how to make a perfect ice cream sandwich.

Making the perfect ice cream sandwich:

I needed this conversion chart. Now I don’t have to google everything!

This is it! Now get off your couch and go to the kitchen to cook something! Happy cooking,

Making my 1st gingerbread house!

Hi! First of all – guys, do you know that Christmas is just 4 days away? I can’t believe it even if I made cookies and my first gingerbread house ever this weekend! It was such a fun and “christmassy” process and I’m going to share it with you.

You may think why I made my first gingerbread house just right now. The answer is I have no idea. Maybe because I just didn’t think about it earlier? Anyway, I’m really happy that I made it this year, this Christmas.

This post is all about just making my first gingerbread house, not about how I made it. If you’re searching for a recipe – just google it. I have a lot of recipe books at home, so that’s where I found a recipe. I also looked for some instructions on the internet and youtube. I really hope you’ll find it – sorry if I didn’t help this time.

Here you can see four walls ready to cook! 🙂

I didn’t forget about the roof and door (I didn’t use the door) either! Also there is a little gingerbread man, but just one. Later I made another one too, but I didn’t take a picture of it.

Don’t search for “building a house” pictures, because that was not really easy for me! The roof kept on falling. I’m super happy that it turned out great after all.

This is my first gingerbread house below! I’m really happy about it. I’m sure making a gingerbread house every Christmas is going to be our family tradition.

Now it’s time to say what I’ve learned:

  • When you build your house, don’t decorate it immediately. Leave it to set.
  • Don’t try to make everything perfect.
  • Try to be as patient as possible.
  • Buy a lot of candy! You can run out of it.
  • Just enjoy the process! 🙂

This is it! If you are still not sure about this gingerbread house – don’t be! Believe me, it was super fun. Gingerbread house is not just a decoration on a Christmas table, but also a delicious and beautiful treat! See you,

Odeta 🙂

Fast, healthy & delicious recipes!

Hello! To be honest, I love food. Who doesn’t? I also love to cook too, especially when the recipes are super easy or when I change something, maybe even create my own recipes. Today I’m going to tell you my top 4 fast, healthy & delicious recipes for fall or any other season. They are really quick, so you’ll make them even in a rush! 🙂

1. Coconut cookies!

I found them in a book, cooked them and they tasted really good.

For about 15 cookies you’ll need:

  • 1 egg
  • about 70 grams brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon starch
  • 1 tablespoon semolina
  • 100 grams flaked coconut

1. Set your oven to 180 ºC. Lay a parchment paper (bakery paper) on a baking sheet.

2. Mix an egg with brown sugar very well.

3. Mix flaked coconut with semolina and starch. Then put this mix into a mix with an egg and brown sugar. Stir.

4. Form balls and put them on your baking sheet. Cook for about 10-15 minutes and be careful not to burn them! 🙂

I took some pictures while making them:

Also you can add some raisins or other dried fruits:

2. Delicious truffles

Oh, these truffles have quite a long story. One day I saw a video on Youtube about how to make easy and healthy energy bars. I cooked them and I actually really loved it! Then I thought – why not to make truffles from them? Oh, and they turned out super good. 🙂 All ingredients are optional – you can add or change something – just like I often do.

You’ll need:

  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup dates
  • some cocoa or cinnamon
  • some flaked coconut

First combine dried cranberries, almonds, dates and cocoa or cinnamon in your food processor for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, scrape the edges. After that, process for 1 or 2 minutes till the ball is formed. With your hands or a tablespoon, form little balls and roll them in  coconut. You’re done!

3. Banana pancakes

How I love these banana pancakes! I make them actually every Saturday or Sunday, because they are really fast and really delicious. Try them, just make sure to add some oil or butter to your pan, because these pancakes sometimes like to stick to pan. 🙂

For one person (maybe two, if they’re not super hungry) you’ll need:

  • one banana
  • two eggs
  • some cinnamon
  • some baking powder

Mix banana and eggs well. Then add cinnamon and baking powder. Mix and fry! You can also add dried berries, fruits. 🙂

4. Vegetable omelette/frittata

I don’t like eggs a lot. I just like omelette and frittata! I think everyone tried to make an omelette, because it’s just so easy and delicious. This recipe is super easy. I call it an omelette or frittata. 🙂

You’ll need:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tomato
  • 1 pepper

Mix eggs with milk and start to cook. Cut your pepper and tomato in pieces and put them on your frittata/omelette. Then just slowly put it on your plate and eat eat eat! 🙂

This is it for this post! I really hope you like it and try some of these recipes. Bye,
