My pamper evening essentials + DIY bubble bath!

Hello! Sometimes all you need is just … a pamper evening. We all know how nice it is to have a hot bath after a hard day. Everyone should have some ‘me’ time to relieve stress. I have a pamper evening every Sunday, because Sundays are great, aren’t they? So I’m going to tell you my pamper evening essentials and how I make my bubble bath!

Bubble bath. I love bubble bath so much! If you’re not really a fan of it, just pop a bath bomb into your bath. I like to do both of these things. Lush has a lot of great bath products, but I wondered why not to make my own bubble bath, right? Here is my recipe:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup liquid hand soap
1 teaspoon olive oil
1 egg white
5 drops of your favorite essential oil

Put all of these ingredients in a container and shake them until they’re well mixed. Pour it under the running water.

P.S. You can improvise! Instead of liquid hand soap you can put shampoo, instead of olive oil put honey. Don’t forget to put an egg white, because of this “secret” ingredient bubbles last longer!

Face mask. I have acne and I tried a lot of various products from shops to make it disappear, but it didn’t. Right now I know how to make acne maybe just a little bit less horrifying. Natural face masks! I like to make these two masks:

Honey and cinnamon mask.
I just mix a tablespoon of honey and a teaspoon of cinnamon and apply it to my face. After about an hour I wash it off.

Honey, cinnamon and nutmeg mask.
Don’t use this mask if your skin is dry or sensitive! My skin is oily, so this mask works really good. Ingredients:

1/2 teaspoon organic cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon raw honey
Few drops of lemon juice

Mix these ingredients together and apply it to your face. I leave it for about 30 minutes, but you can let it sit shorter.

I made a post about masks for every skin type. You can read it here.

Candles. Who doesn’t like them? I have a whole collection of them in my house and I still need to buy more soon!

Delicious snacks. I always get hungry after a long bath. On my pamper evenings (actually, almost on every evening) I like to cook myself an apple or eat organic chocolate.

Movie / Book. I love watching movies and reading books, but I’m really picky. I suggest for you to have a list of to-read books and to-watch movies like I did. It helps me all the time!

Comfy clothes. Can you imagine a pamper evening when you’re wearing skinny jeans and uncomfortable sweater? Hell no! I love pajamas, so I always chill in them on my pamper evenings.

If you’re feeling tired right now, but go and pamper yourself! Everything else can wait! Have a good day,

Odeta 🙂

Super helpful kitchen tricks!

Hello! Long time no see! Do you ever go to the kitchen with a will to make something delicious and see that you don’t have one ingredient? These moments really get on every girl’s nerves, so I searched for some kitchen tricks and found LIFE SAVING pictures. I’m going to share them with you.

When I first saw these photos I was happy and then I felt confused. I only knew that you can use bananas instead of eggs and plain yogurt instead of sour cream. Now I feel like a kitchen guru! Yes, don’t laugh at me. 😀 Let’s start with egg substitutions:

My favorite books of 2014!

Hi! This is my first post in 2015! I hope you all had an amazing Christmas and New Year’s Eve. For me, 2014 was a good year. Nothing bad happened. This past year I found out that I love reading books and watching movies. From the title you already know that this post is going to be about my favorite books of 2014. Let’s begin!

The Maze Runner series

I’m kind of sad that I first watched the trailer and then found out that it’s based on a book. Gladly I didn’t watch the whole movie first! I saw this book on sale one day and just bought it. Oh, how I want to read the second book, I read just one!

Description:

When Thomas wakes up in the lift, the only thing he can remember is his first name. His memory is blank. But he’s not alone. When the lift’s doors open, Thomas finds himself surrounded by kids who welcome him to the Glade—a large, open expanse surrounded by stone walls. Just like Thomas, the Gladers don’t know why or how they got to the Glade. All they know is that every morning the stone doors to the maze that surrounds them have opened. Every night they’ve closed tight. And every 30 days a new boy has been delivered in the lift. Thomas was expected. But the next day, a girl is sent up—the first girl to ever arrive in the Glade. And more surprising yet is the message she delivers. Thomas might be more important than he could ever guess. If only he could unlock the dark secrets buried within his mind.

Unearthly series

Probably every fantasy lover would like Unearthly series. Personally I’m not a big fantasy lover, but these books were really good. If you’re wondering, I grabbed them from library. I think yours will have them too. Below you can see the description of the first book.

Description:

In the beginning, there’s a boy standing in the trees…
Clara Gardner has recently learned that she’s part angel. Having angel blood run through her veins not only makes her smarter, stronger, and faster than humans (a word, she realizes, that no longer applies to her), but it means she has a purpose, something she was put on this earth to do. Figuring out what that is, though, isn’t easy.

Her visions of a raging forest fire and an alluring stranger lead her to a new school in a new town. When she meets Christian, who turns out to be the boy of her dreams (literally), everything seems to fall into place and out of place at the same time. Because there’s another guy, Tucker, who appeals to Clara’s less angelic side.

As Clara tries to find her way in a world she no longer understands, she encounters unseen dangers and choices she never thought she’d have to make between honesty and deceit, love and duty, good and evil. When the fire from her vision finally ignites, will Clara be ready to face her destiny?

The Book Thief

A must read. Words cannot describe it how much I loved this book. The Book Thief is just a wonderful story full of emotions. I also grabbed it from my library. At first I was kind of confused and thought “should I read this book?” I’m so so so proud I did! The Book Thief can change the way you think, but this book is not for you if you want a fast read and a lot of action. There is also a movie based on this book. I recommend reading the book first of course.

Description:

It is 1939. Nazi Germany. The country is holding its breath. Death has never been busier, and will be busier still.

By her brother’s graveside, Liesel’s life is changed when she picks up a single object, partially hidden in the snow. It is The Gravedigger’s Handbook, left behind there by accident, and it is her first act of book thievery.

So begins a love affair with books and words, as Liesel, with the help of her accordian-playing foster father, learns to read. Soon she is stealing books from Nazi book-burnings, the mayor’s wife’s library, wherever there are books to be found.

But these are dangerous times. When Liesel’s foster family hides a Jewish fist-fighter in their basement, Liesel’s world is both opened up, and closed down.

If I Stay

Another awesome book. There is also a second book called Where She Went. I’m going to read it soon and I can’t wait. These is a movie based on If I Stay. But first read the book!

Description:

Just listen, Adam says with a voice that sounds like shrapnel.

I open my eyes wide now.
I sit up as much as I can.
And I listen.

Stay, he says.

Choices. Seventeen-year-old Mia is faced with some tough ones: Stay true to her first love—music—even if it means losing her boyfriend and leaving her family and friends behind?

Then one February morning Mia goes for a drive with her family, and in an instant, everything changes. Suddenly, all the choices are gone, except one. And it’s the only one that matters.

If I Stay is a beautiful book about the power of love, the true meaning of family, and the choices we all make.

I can’t forget these three perfect books – The Fifth Wave, Anna And The French Kiss and Delirium trilogy. You can read descriptions and my reviews here.

I hope you’ll read at least one of these books. If you already read some of them you can leave a comment below! 🙂 See you,
